## Description

PFATS, the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society, is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of healthcare for the National Football League (NFL). With a diverse membership of over 158 certified athletic trainers (ATC) nationwide, PFATS is committed to the promotion and advancement of athletic training through education and research. They work closely with the NFL Physician Society, NFL, and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) to prioritize the health and safety of athletes. PFATS offers scholarship programs, internship opportunities, educational seminars, and charitable involvement in communities. Their website, in partnership with Gatorade, serves as a valuable resource for sharing information and educating their profession and members. In addition to their mission, PFATS also has a rich history, starting as the NFL Athletic Trainers Society before officially becoming the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society in 1982. Their executive committee, comprised of elected members, provides organizational direction and fulfills strategic planning goals. PFATS also values partnerships and alliances with organizations in the sports medicine industry to further advance their profession.
