## Description

Pfeifenmacher Oberschwaben is the workshop and brand of Klaus Jürgen Kinze, an independent pipe maker based in Oberschwaben, Germany. A self-taught craftsman, Kinze has developed his skills over many years and continues to refine his knowledge of pipe making. Inspired by briar and the many ways a tobacco pipe can be shaped, he creates handmade pipes in his own workshop, carrying out every stage of the work himself. Depending on the design, he may drill the tobacco chamber or shape it on a lathe.

The workshop also offers care and repair services to help smokers restore and maintain their pipes. Services include thorough cleaning, refinishing, sanding, restaining, fitting a replacement mouthpiece, and addressing damage such as a cracked shank. After inspecting a pipe, Kinze can assess possible solutions and help return it to use. His approach combines hands-on craftsmanship with individual attention, offering both newly made tobacco pipes and practical support for existing pieces.
