## Description

Phelps Music is the music and performance business of Dan Phelps, a composer, pianist and tutor based near Pontypridd in South Wales. With qualifications in composition and music, Dan offers piano, music theory and composition tuition to students across Rhondda Cynon Taf, Caerphilly, Cardiff and Bridgend. Lessons support music examinations, technical development and GCSE or A Level composition work.

The business also provides live piano music for weddings, care and residential homes, functions and corporate events, with a varied repertoire spanning solo performances and acoustic arrangements. Dan has performed throughout the UK, including at St David’s Hall and St Donat’s Arts Centre, and has collaborated with vocalist Jayne Sarah on jazz, blues and classic-song arrangements.

Phelps Music runs African drumming workshops for schools, youth and community groups, businesses, festivals and family events. Participants explore instruments such as djembe drums, djun djun, Ghana bells and shekere shakers through lively group drumming. Dan is also an award-winning composer whose releases have received radio airplay and positive reviews.
