## Description

Philabundance is a dedicated nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia, committed to ending hunger in the greater Philadelphia area. Founded in 1984, Philabundance believes that no one should experience hunger while healthy food goes to waste. The organization collaborates with over 300 community partners to distribute food across nine counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, serving nearly 700,000 individuals facing food insecurity.

Philabundance offers various initiatives aimed at providing immediate hunger relief and addressing its root causes. Key programs include Food Rescue, which salvages perfectly good food from businesses to aid those in need, and the Philabundance Community Kitchen, a culinary training program designed to empower individuals seeking to develop life skills and find sustainable employment. Philabundance's mission emphasizes the importance of community involvement through volunteering, advocacy, and donations to help drive hunger from local neighborhoods and foster healthier communities for all.
