Philippa Bayliss was an Irish artist and painter whose work and life are presented through this website. Born in 1940 and remembered here as having died in 2025, Bayliss is represented by a broad online catalogue of paintings and related material. Visitors can explore works grouped by subject, including gardens, landscapes, figures, still life, horses and Smithfield, as well as paintings associated with Mexico. The site also features etchings, books and press coverage, offering several ways to discover her artistic output and its documentation.

A detailed biography traces Bayliss’s story from her earliest memory of painting and her family background through her upbringing, return from America, studies at the Byam Shaw School of Art, student years, and time in Paris and La Grisoliere. The website includes information about a Butler Gallery exhibition and links to the gallery’s press release. As an archival resource, it brings together biographical chapters, catalogue sections and exhibition information for people interested in Bayliss’s life and work.
