## Description

Champagne Philipponnat is a family-run Champagne house with more than 500 years of history in the region. Rooted in Ay and Mareuil-sur-Ay, the house combines artisanal expertise with a commitment to continually refining its work. Its approach centres on Champagne’s distinctive terroirs and Pinot Noir, the grape variety it particularly values, alongside demanding viticulture focused on fruit maturity and concentration.

Philipponnat produces a range of Champagnes, including the cuvée 1522 Extra-Brut and 1522 Rosé Extra-Brut, and showcases the exceptional vineyard site of Clos des Goisses in Mareuil-sur-Ay. The house also highlights its heritage through historic cellars and vineyard landscapes, including the steep, walled Clos des Goisses overlooking the Marne.

Visitors can book Champagne experiences and guided tastings, with options such as “The Art of Blending,” “Along the Marne,” and experiences focused on Clos des Goisses and the origins of Champagne. These visits may include an introduction to the house, its cellars and nearby vineyards. Philipponnat emphasises responsibility, respect for time and sustainable values in its work.
