## Description

Lexarg.de is an online reference platform focused on controversies in philosophy and science. It organizes thousands of texts into a searchable knowledge structure, helping users explore how ideas, theories, and arguments relate. Its coverage includes philosophy, economics, politics, environmental issues, and psychology, with entries on prominent authors and topics ranging from determinism and meaning to democracy, aggression, and cognitive biases.

The platform is designed to help readers identify who supports particular theories, distinguish scientific schools of thought, and compare positions that conflict or may be inconsistent when held together. Its resources include author and concept indexes, tables, glossaries, registers, and collections of controversies and theses. Lexarg.de also offers full-text and semantic search, alongside information tailored to students, universities, researchers, and libraries. The site describes its work as breaking texts down into structured arguments and providing a framework for reconstructable scholarly dialogue. It presents an English-language option as well as German content, and provides access to an XML/SRU interface and links to academic and social media platforms.
