## Description

The Philosophy of Education Society (PES) is an international scholarly organization dedicated to advancing philosophical inquiry into educational practice, policy, and research. It supports the quality of teaching in philosophy of education and fosters meaningful connections among philosophers, philosophers of education, and educators. PES provides a forum for discussion and professional collaboration through its annual conference, committees, and special interest groups covering topics such as ethics, aesthetics and art education, decolonial studies, disability, phenomenology, religion, and spirituality. The Society also supports its members through mentoring, graduate student initiatives, awards, and opportunities to participate in governance and elections. Its publications include Philosophy of Education and GroundWorks, and it offers access to Educational Theory subscriptions. PES promotes public engagement through initiatives such as the “Thinking in the Midst” podcast and statements concerning issues affecting higher education. Members and prospective members can learn about events, submit conference proposals, and support the Society through donations. By bringing diverse perspectives together, PES cultivates critical dialogue about education and its philosophical foundations.
