## Description

PhilReviews is a searchable bibliographic index dedicated to philosophy book reviews. Built by Matt Zwolinski, it brings together more than 226,000 reviews published across over 1,500 academic journals, with coverage dating from 1876. The database helps readers discover reviews by book title, author, reviewer, journal, publication year, philosophical subfield, access type, and review format. Its subject areas span ethics, political and social philosophy, philosophy of law, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, aesthetics, religion, and the history of philosophy, including ancient, medieval, and early modern traditions, as well as continental, feminist, and non-Western approaches. Visitors can browse recent reviews, use advanced search and filtering tools, and receive a free weekly email digest of newly published entries. Readers may also set an email alert for a specific book to be notified when another review is added. PhilReviews is a bibliographic service rather than a publisher: review content remains hosted by the original journals and publishers.
