## Description

Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) is an organization that has been using medicine and science since 1986 to shed light on mass atrocities and severe human rights violations. Their mission is to document these abuses, raise awareness, and advocate for justice. They work at the intersection of medicine, science, and law, believing that medical ethics and human rights are deeply connected. PHR conducts investigations, documents human rights violations, and gives voice to survivors and witnesses. They also work to hold perpetrators accountable for their crimes and support frontline human rights defenders. By utilizing their core disciplines of science, medicine, forensics, and public health, PHR conducts research, strengthens advocacy efforts, and provides critical scientific evidence for survivors seeking justice. They work collaboratively with partners worldwide to drive effective advocacy and provide support to those in need. With a commitment to upholding the freedom and equal dignity of all human beings, PHR is dedicated to securing human rights and justice for all.
