## Description

PhytoBank is a freely available electronic database dedicated to detailed information about plant-derived phytocompounds. Developed as the home of the PhytoBank Project, it brings together approximately 180,000 compound entries and is modelled after, and closely linked to, the Human Metabolome Database (HMDB) and DrugBank. The resource helps users explore phytochemical data through searchable tools, including metabolite browsing, text and ChemQuery searches, structure and molecular-weight searches, and analytical data searches for LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and one- and two-dimensional NMR. The site also provides downloads and information about the project, with contact details for further inquiries. PhytoBank is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC), a nationally funded research and core facility supporting metabolomics studies. TMIC receives funding from Genome Canada, Genome Alberta, and Genome British Columbia. Together, these partnerships support access to a specialized resource for researching plant compounds.
