## Description

PictaBook 86 is a volunteer-led association based in Chauvigny, in France’s Vienne department, dedicated to promoting books and reading. Established in April 2015, it supports independent publishing and encourages readers to discover both printed and digital books. The association organizes literary events, including book fairs, festivals and forums, with several book fairs held each year. These gatherings give visitors the opportunity to meet authors, discuss their work and have books signed. PictaBook 86 also highlights regional writers, whose varied publications bring a wide range of themes and perspectives to readers. The association values the enduring appeal of printed books while recognizing that digital publishing is also part of the changing reading landscape. Its activities bring authors and audiences together and help foster interest in reading and literature across the local community. PictaBook 86 welcomes people who share its commitment to books and independent publishing, and invites prospective participants to get in touch through its contact form or by phone.
