## Description

Piedmont Care is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1994 to improve the lives of people affected by or at risk for HIV and AIDS. Serving Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties in South Carolina, it is the only organization in its community dedicated entirely to a compassionate response to HIV and AIDS. Its mission is to coordinate and provide medical, social, and psychological services for individuals and families.

The organization offers medical care, personalized case management to help clients navigate healthcare and access treatment, and supportive services that connect people with counseling, housing assistance, and financial support. Piedmont Care also provides free, confidential HIV testing, prevention information, and community education focused on health advocacy and reducing stigma. Its services are designed for people of diverse ages, backgrounds, identities, and circumstances, including people living with HIV, those experiencing poverty or homelessness, and people who inject drugs. Through care, education, prevention, and advocacy, Piedmont Care supports individual well-being and community health across the region.
