The Personal Insurance Federation of California (PIFC) is a Sacramento-based association representing the leading property and casualty insurance companies in California. Our primary focus is on issues related to homeowners, automobile, earthquake, and flood insurance. Our mission is to ensure that personal insurance remains affordable and accessible for consumers through our advocacy and political action efforts.

PIFC actively engages with all branches of the state government, lobbying for the interests of our member companies. We work closely with the California Department of Insurance to provide oversight and support in the regulation of property and casualty insurance. Ever since our establishment in 1989, following the passage of Proposition 103, PIFC has been dedicated to developing and advocating for policies that enable individuals to have access to essential insurance coverage in California.
