With a membership of 930 security control companies operating nationwide, PIKM serves as the united voice and representative of industry stakeholders in negotiations with the government, authorities, regional and international partners, media, and the community. Established on November 3, 1980, PIKM was born out of the consensus of a group of security control industry executives in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The association is licensed by the Ministry of Home Affairs Malaysia. As the newly elected President for the 2021-2023 session, Dato' Sri Ramli Yusuff expresses his gratitude for being entrusted with the privilege to represent the security companies under PIKM. His focus is centered on "Member Welfare" and "Enhancing Professionalism" among the association's members. Key issues include the implementation of a minimum wage and how it can be better executed and measured. Additionally, the industry faces challenges from new regulations and changes, such as working hours in the public sector and constraints arising from the enforcement of the Competition Act 2010. The core value of professionalism should be continuously pursued and encouraged among members. Furthermore, PIKM has been appointed as the Industry Lead Body for security services, adding responsibility and opportunities for the association. Dato' Sri Ramli Yusuff sets these goals as the main indicators to measure the progress and achievements of the Committee Members during their term.
