## Description

Pinner Local History Society is a charitable organisation founded in 1972, dedicated to encouraging and promoting interest in the history of Pinner and its surrounding communities. Its area of focus includes Pinner Green, Hatch End, North Harrow and Rayners Lane, which were once part of Pinner’s parish. The society explores a region with a long and complex past, from Pinner’s place among the hamlets of the medieval Harrow Manor to records of its church in the 1230s. Through meetings, research, talks, visits, publications and displays, it helps members and the public discover local stories and historical evidence. Its activities include presentations on subjects such as London’s Metropolitan Railway and contributions by its research group to regional history conferences. The society also shares local-history material through articles, records, pictures and videos, offering different ways to learn about the area. With membership and community events at its core, Pinner Local History Society supports appreciation and understanding of the heritage of Pinner and nearby places.
