## Description

**Pinturaleza – Juan Ignacio de Frutos**

Pinturaleza is an innovative and sustainable artistic project founded by painter Juan Ignacio de Frutos, focusing on collaboration with the natural world. Established in 1996 in the Aragonese Pyrenees, this unique initiative breathes new life into discarded wood from centuries-old trees. By transforming these materials, mainly sourced from controlled tree removals and dead wood, Juan Ignacio creates exceptional artworks that honor the essence and history of the wood.

The artistic process begins with the careful selection and preparation of wood pieces aged between 100 to over 300 years. Each piece is meticulously cleaned and shaped, preserving the natural contours and textures formed by time and the environment. Following this, the painting process commences, highlighting the inherent beauty of the wood’s grain and features.

Pinturaleza not only offers stunning artworks but embodies a philosophy of conservation and sustainability, making each creation a testament to the dialogue between art and nature.
