## Description

Pirkanmaan Perhokalastajat ry is a Finnish specialist fly-fishing club founded in 1976. Based in Tampere, it brings together fly fishers and people interested in the sport to fish, tie flies and enjoy the hobby in good company. The association has nearly 400 members, with active participants meeting regularly at the club’s premises.

Alongside club gatherings and fly-tying evenings, the club organises fishing trips, competitions, lectures and courses covering different aspects of fly fishing. It manages Julkujärvi, a fishing lake in Ylöjärvi available to members, and works to develop other fishing waters, particularly in the Pirkanmaa region. Members can also take part in youth activities and access club resources, including equipment and publications.

The club supports fly fishing across its many disciplines and has participated in regional and national fishing organisations. Its members have achieved success in competitions, especially fly tying. Pirkanmaan Perhokalastajat promotes considerate conduct on fishing waters and respect for fellow anglers. Membership provides access to club activities, member benefits and updates about events and programmes.
