The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC) is a collaborative advisory organization dedicated to fostering a just, equitable, and sustainable food system in Pittsburgh. With the goal of connecting stakeholders from various sectors, PFPC facilitates regular meetings to bring together advocates, entrepreneurs, community members, and policymakers. As a collective impact organization, PFPC recognizes that its members are its most valuable asset.
Comprising individuals and entities from government, non-profit, co-op, university, and farm sectors in the Southwestern Pennsylvania Region, the council supports and aligns with their respective missions and goals. PFPC's initiatives include the Urban Growers Scholarship Fund, created in partnership with the East End Food Coop and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, as well as the publication of an Impact Report, highlighting their extensive work over the past two years.
