Exnier Benique, the founder, graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and has over 20 years of experience in industries such as electronics, medical devices, and aerospace. Exnier's love for sneakers and basketball led him to the idea of designing his own sneakers. However, he had no knowledge of graphic design or the necessary skills. Determined to learn, he taught himself graphic design by buying books, magazines, and watching online tutorials. With a borrowed copy of Photoshop and Illustrator, he became a self-taught designer. After several years of learning on his own, Exnier became the technical illustrator for Cordis company, where he honed his skills. He gained knowledge in illustration, graphic design, photography, brand identities, and social media. Pixel Habitat was born when Exnier felt confident in his abilities and had the opportunity to help a friend create the identity for their business. Not only did he create the business's identity, but he also took product photographs, designed the menu, and created various products for sale such as shirts, mugs, and gift cards. Word spread, and Exnier began working with various local businesses in the western area of Puerto Rico. Today, Pixel Habitat has collaborated with companies such as Dulzura Borincana, Paletados, and Siempre es Lunes, helping to create and propel the dreams of local entrepreneurs. Pixel Habitat is the result of Exnier's perseverance and multidisciplinary skills. We believe that design can move Puerto Rico forward, and we are focused on the future.
