## Description

Pixelshot.it is a decentralized alternative to traditional social media platforms like Instagram, aiming to provide users with a free and data-saving option. Launched in January 2025 and operated by adminForge, Pixelshot.it embodies the principles of privacy and autonomy in digital communication. The platform offers a variety of services designed to enhance user experience, including an uptime monitoring tool and a Grafana dashboard for tracking statistics. Additionally, Pixelshot.it features a German-language ActivityPub relay, ensuring seamless connectivity for users in that region.

AdminForge is dedicated to offering free services with the intention of creating a censorship-free community for sharing visual content. The team asks for community support through donations, recognizing that maintaining such a platform incurs operational costs. With its focus on user empowerment and privacy, Pixelshot.it is an innovative choice for those seeking an alternative to heavily moderated social media networks.
