## Description

Plants Are Pets (PAP) is a plant care app for iPhone and iPad that combines practical guidance with a playful cast of plant personalities. Users can identify plants by taking a photo, with support for more than 10,000 species, then receive a tailored care guide and schedule. The schedule adapts as users log care, accounting for factors such as soil checks, pot and soil mix, nearby heating or air conditioning, seasonal changes, and transitions like repotting or moving a plant. PAP also offers more than 200 illustrated, step-by-step how-tos for tasks such as pruning, repotting, and propagation. For plants showing signs of trouble, photo diagnosis suggests likely causes and next steps, drawing on a catalog of over 250 plant diseases; this feature is part of Premium. Each plant can have a personality that shapes its reminders and growth journal, while The Daily Dirt creates an ongoing story about the garden.
