Plastiki Rafiki is a socially conscious brand dedicated to tackling the issue of plastic waste in Kenya. Founded by the Construction by Design (CBD) service club at the International School of Kenya, Plastiki Rafiki aims to improve the community through Design Thinking and Construction. As a nonprofit enterprise, all profits generated by Plastiki Rafiki are reinvested into machine and product development, rubbish clean-up initiatives, and grassroots plastic recycling workshops through the Plastiki Rafiki Network. Their student-run approach, led by high school students from the International School of Kenya, promotes local employment and empowers communities. With a scalable and sustainable model, Plastiki Rafiki strives to make a significant impact on the environment while creating functional and long-lasting products.
