## Description

Plataforma Acácia, part of the Genealogia Acadêmica do Brasil initiative, serves as an essential resource for documenting formal mentorship relationships within Brazilian postgraduate programs. With a robust database built from data provided by Plataforma Lattes, which contains over 7.3 million academic curriculums, Acácia has recorded 1,463,190 academics and their 1,633,248 mentorship connections. The platform crafts academic genealogy graphs, with each node symbolizing a researcher and each edge illustrating a completed mentorship relationship between a supervisor and their student. This innovative approach not only enhances the visibility of academic relationships but also aids in research collaboration and knowledge dissemination throughout the Brazilian academic landscape. For users seeking to explore the connections between masters and doctoral candidates active in Brazil, Plataforma Acácia serves as a comprehensive and user-friendly tool, streamlining the process of navigating the vast network of academic influence. For additional insights into how the platform operates, users are encouraged to visit the About page.
