## Description

The Plateau de Retord is a year-round outdoor destination in the Jura mountains of France, less than an hour from Lyon and Geneva. Its peaceful landscapes of open plateaus, forests, trails and villages invite visitors to enjoy nature and active holidays. The destination includes Les Plans d’Hotonnes, Cuvéry and La Chapelle de Retord, with activities for families and individual visitors in every season.

Winter offerings include alpine and Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, biathlon, sledding and dog-sled rides. In summer, visitors can explore on foot, by road bike or mountain bike, including electric-assist bikes, or try rollerblading, roller skiing, tennis, orienteering and outdoor adventure activities. Some local options include children’s play areas, horseback riding, cani-rando and electric off-road scooters and karts. The Plateau also provides practical visitor information, webcams, weather and trail updates, equipment-rental details, ski-school information, event listings and online pass purchases. Accommodation and dining options range from hotels and guesthouses to cottages, group lodging, campsites, restaurants and picnic rooms.
