## Description

Leest is an open-access scholarly platform dedicated to Dutch literature and culture. It brings research and public discussion together, making academic work accessible to readers, educators, students, and anyone interested in the cultural life of the Dutch-speaking world. Its articles explore subjects including literature, poetry, history, language, education, media, politics, identity, technology, and the arts, often connecting historical perspectives with current debates.

The platform publishes essays, interviews, news, working papers, and other text genres, alongside podcasts featuring conversations with researchers and writers. Topics range from literary history and poetry research to AI-generated writing, colonial legacies, academic working conditions, and sustainability in fashion. Leest also invites contributors to write for the platform and provides author guidelines and submission information. Through its varied formats and broad thematic scope, Leest supports informed exchange between scholars and a wider readership, while highlighting research and perspectives from the Netherlands, Flanders, and other parts of the Dutch-language cultural sphere.
