## Description

Hit the Button is a free online maths practice game for children aged 6 to 11, designed to make learning arithmetic engaging through quick-fire, timed challenges. Players build mental maths speed by answering questions before the clock runs out, with game modes that include a time challenge and survival play. The activities cover number bonds, addition and subtraction, doubles, halves, square numbers, times tables, and division facts. Children can choose number ranges and practise individual multiplication or division tables, or try mixed questions. The site also offers game results, streaks, achievements, badges, and a review of missed questions to support continued practice. Hit the Button can be played directly in a web browser without a subscription or login, and the site describes the game as ad-free. It is designed for use on desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, iPads, and tablets. The website presents the game as a screen-based learning activity for children, parents, and teachers seeking a simple way to practise core arithmetic skills.
