## Description

Mutineer is an indie social deduction card game created by Steppe Works, a two-person team of fans of the genre. With a pirate theme and a classic Mafia-style premise, the game assigns players secret roles as Pirates or Cursed skeletons. Across alternating days and nights, Pirates try to identify the Cursed and protect their crew, while the skeletons work to weaken the Pirates through mutiny.

Mutineer introduces several distinctive mechanics, including a Crew Log that shows possible roles without revealing which are actually in play, and Life Token Cards that let players leave conversations and return in different seats. Elimination is designed to keep players involved: even after death, players’ roles remain secret, and they continue voting and playing for their team. The game also features custom artwork on every card, created without AI.

Successfully funded on Kickstarter in less than 24 hours, Mutineer is currently in development and available for preorder.
