The brand's story began in 1955 when three extraordinary women, Edna Hoffer, Grace Barto, and Esther Henry, came together with a shared vision to establish Pleasant View Rest Home. They purchased land across from the Hoffer farm and built a nursing home that would provide care for the elderly.

As time went on, Pleasant View evolved to meet the changing needs of its residents. In 1972, it became a non-profit organization and recruited volunteers to serve on its board of directors.
