As the 6th largest city in the nation, Phoenix relies on its public libraries, which are funded by the city budget. However, tax revenue alone provides only the basics.

That's where Library Friends come in. Their mission is to promote, enhance, and expand the library by raising funds and advocating for adequate resources. With the help of Phoenix Library Friends, the library is able to provide numerous programs and services that enhance the lives of community members.

They also host book sales and operate a bookstore called Friends' Place, generating additional funds to support the library. Furthermore, they organize community book sales and offer a Wish List to encourage contributions.
