# Plumthicket - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `plumthicket.website` ## Description Plumthicket is a practical working almanac for people caring for small fruit orchards in temperate climates. Its guidance covers apples, pears, quince, plums, cherries, apricots and peaches, with a focus on rows of fewer than fifty trees. Organized around the seasons, the site helps growers plan timely orchard work, from winter pruning and spring grafting to summer fruit thinning and autumn harvest and storage. The almanac brings together four core resources: a month-by-month seasonal wheel, a guide to choosing rootstocks, advice on pruning by species and season, and notes on pests and diseases. Rootstock information explains how soil depth, drainage and exposure can shape decisions about tree size, support and cropping. Practical pruning guidance describes common cuts and suitable windows, while pest and disease notes encourage observation and prevention. A harvest-window calculator uses each tree’s full-bloom date to help estimate when fruit may be ready. Plumthicket presents its recommendations as cues for checking trees, rather than prescriptions, and notes that its month names follow the northern year, with a six-month shift for southern growers. ## Industries - 🪴 Home and Garden - 🪴 Gardening _(under Home and Garden)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id2dUOwOZb/w/820/h/820/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791259061946) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Pine Glade | #b2cb8c | accent | | Celtic | #1c3a24 | dark | | Fountain Blue | #67a0bf | light | --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
