## Description

PMDD Aotearoa is a New Zealand charitable trust focused on raising awareness, advancing research and improving support for people living with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and related conditions. The organisation shares educational information, personal stories and research updates, and promotes advocacy, events and opportunities for people to get involved. Its website includes PMDD 101, a toolkit, resource directory and information about available services.

A key offering is free individual counselling and wellbeing support for people affected by PMDD. The programme generally provides four to six 60-minute sessions in a safe, supportive setting. Informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā, its holistic approach recognises the connections between physical, emotional, social, spiritual and environmental wellbeing. Participants work with a counsellor to explore their current challenges, identify support needs and develop practical strategies. They also build a personalised PMDD Wellbeing Toolkit, which may include coping approaches, wellbeing practices, support networks, useful resources and a plan for difficult periods. PMDD Aotearoa aims to help people better understand their experience and feel supported beyond the sessions.
