## Description

Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kota Medan is a humanitarian organization serving Medan and the surrounding community in North Sumatra. Established in the 1950s, it works according to the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including humanity, neutrality, independence, and voluntary service. Its activities include disaster response and relief distribution, ambulance services, blood donation through the city’s blood donor unit, and social assistance. PMI Medan also provides first-aid training, disaster preparedness and other educational programs, while supporting youth development through Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) and volunteer groups KSR and TSR.
