## Description

The Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic is a public justice organization working with people who have committed offences, victims of crime, and communities affected by crime. Its work follows the principles of restorative justice, aiming to support accountability, repair harm, and promote safe reintegration. Services include probation supervision, mediation between victims and offenders, assistance for crime victims, and support for young people involved in the justice system. The organization also administers community service and house arrest sentences, provides parole-related support, and operates probation houses and resocialization programs. Its activities include mentoring and initiatives such as the Yellow Ribbon project, which promotes the reintegration of people with criminal convictions. The Service publishes news, press releases, information about legislation, and guidance for the public, media, and professionals. It operates centers across the Czech Republic, with a regional locator and contact information available online. People planning an in-person visit are advised to arrange it in advance by phone or electronically; offices generally receive visitors on weekdays.
