## Description

Founded by T. S. Eliot in 1953, the Poetry Book Society is a poetry-focused membership organisation dedicated to sharing the joy of poetry and introducing readers to contemporary work. It believes poetry can transform lives, uplift and inspire, and offers members expert guidance through thoughtfully curated selections of new books. Memberships include a year of poetry books delivered to members, a lively quarterly magazine and 25% off poetry books purchased through its website. Options include Choice, World Poetry and Complete memberships, as well as gift memberships and digital membership.

The Poetry Book Society’s online bookshop brings together poetry titles and related publications, including anthologies, translated poetry, pamphlets, children’s and young adult poetry, writing guides, bulletins and tote bags. The organisation also publishes quarterly listings and digital bulletins, shares poetry news and features, and hosts readings and other events. Its website provides information about the team, selectors, submissions and institutional membership, alongside opportunities to donate and support its work promoting poetry.
