## Description

Wednesday Pokapoka Marche is a community market held once a month on the fourth Wednesday in the Matsubayashi district of Chigasaki, Japan. Its aim is to bring people and the local area together through welcoming opportunities to shop, meet, and enjoy refreshments. Market stalls offer locally grown vegetables, everyday goods, imported foods, and handmade craft products, with purchases made directly at each vendor’s booth. Seasonal events highlight produce and other offerings; for example, the September market features fresh vegetables and an autumn vegetable fair, alongside a special display of daily necessities and emergency food supplies.

During market hours, Café Hinatabokko serves drinks and ice cream. Its menu includes iced drinks, freshly ground coffee, and a selection of 100% juices. The market’s website shares event dates and location information, vendor details, and guidance for prospective stallholders. Applications are accepted for selected upcoming market dates, making the event a place for both visitors and local sellers to take part in community life.
