## Description

Pokemondex is an independent Pokémon information and editorial website built and maintained by Paul Lovell. It combines quick-reference data with original analysis for fans, players and collectors. Its Pokédex covers more than 1,350 Pokémon across all nine generations, with stats, moves, forms and evolution chains. A moves database catalogues 937 moves, while type guides explore matchups, defensive cores and coverage strategies. The site also publishes long-form guides on competitive play, VGC archetypes, evolution methods, boss battles and other aspects of the games. Its Pokémon profiles go beyond basic lookup information with written sections on biology, design origins and competitive roles.
