POLITIQ is a brand that defends liberalism, democracy, and freedom in the Czech Republic. They provide commentaries and articles mainly sourced from German-language media. Since the fall of the Communist regime in 1989, the barriers in people's minds have become a more significant issue than economic and technological backwardness. Overcoming this challenge requires unrestricted access to information. Jan Martínek, the provider of POLITIQ, noticed the differences in media quality between the Czech and German worlds, especially during the refugee crisis in 2015. This led him to create a political blog before establishing the POLITIQ Magazine two years later. The magazine is a non-commercial initiative, and all income from advertising or donations is strictly used to cover editorial costs. Targeted towards Czech and Slovak readers, it serves as a partner and an opportunity to introduce foreign media to the general public. POLITIQ advocates for free access to information, liberal values, and the fight against hatred and prejudices. They welcome support and contributions to preserve these values in the face of increasing risks.
