## Description

Polvokamp is a volunteer-run children’s camp based in the forests of Riethoven, Netherlands. Established in 1955, it has welcomed more than 10,000 children and offers an all-inclusive outdoor holiday for children aged 7 to 13. Its aim is to make a memorable camp experience accessible to every child, with no membership fees or ongoing commitments.

Children can attend weekend camps and week-long summer camps, with activities designed for fun, adventure and teamwork. The programme may include building rafts, outdoor games, campfire marshmallows, disco nights and exciting themed challenges. Freshly prepared food and drink are provided by the camp kitchen team. For accommodation, campers can stay in army tents or a wooden cabin.

Polvokamp is run by experienced, involved volunteers from a variety of backgrounds. Clear rules and a welcoming environment help create a safe and inspiring setting for children, while giving parents and caregivers reassurance. The organisation also offers cabin rental and provides information for families, including camp dates, prices and a packing list.
