## Description

POLYPHONIA is a multifaceted project dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the rich cultural heritage of polyphonic music found in the regions of Epirus, Gjirokaster, and Vlore. Co-funded by the European Union and the national funds of the participating countries, this initiative operates within the Interreg IPA II CBC Programme “Greece – Albania 2014 - 2020.” POLYPHONIA aims to foster cultural exchange and understanding through various activities such as workshops, conferences, and festivals celebrating traditional music forms. 

The project provides a platform for sharing knowledge with a comprehensive repository of polyphonic music and thematic routes that guide users through this unique cultural landscape. Additionally, POLYPHONIA serves as a networking hub, connecting cultural practitioners, musicians, and enthusiasts, ensuring that the legacy of these musical traditions is preserved for future generations. Through its innovative communication and dissemination strategies, POLYPHONIA seeks to engage a wider audience and enhance appreciation for the art of polyphonic music.
