## Description

Les Polysémiques is a French association established in 2002 to promote and develop slam poetry. A pioneer in the field, it works to bring slam to a wider audience through publishing, live performance and creative workshops, with activities in Rhône-Alpes and beyond.

Its publishing arm, Les éditions Les Polysémiques, releases around two books a year, helping establish slam as part of the literary landscape. Its catalogue includes works by slam artists and collections such as Oppoésie, Dé Ca Lé and Only Slam Lyon.

The association produces a range of performances, including Interventif, Lapsus Linguae, Scène Slam and Slam à Domicile. It also offers slam sessions and can create tailored work for events, including commissioned texts, collaborative performances and writing improvisations. Workshops are adapted to participants’ abilities and use playful writing exercises to encourage creativity and help everyone find a place in slam. Les Polysémiques also organizes events, open-mic sessions and local slam projects, connecting writers, performers and audiences through spoken-word expression.
