## Description

Poor Richard's Downtown in Colorado Springs is a beloved brand that has been a downtown innovator for many years. As the first place to grind their own coffee beans and serve espresso, Poor Richard's has always been ahead of the curve. Richard Skorman, the driving force behind the brand, has a passion for film and even converted a back room at the restaurant into a movie theater. After selling the business and moving to New York, Skorman returned to Colorado Springs and bought back the restaurant, adding New York-style pizza to the menu and expanding further with Little Richard's Toy Store, a variety of gifts at the bookstore, and Rico's Café & Wine Bar. Poor Richard's is not just about great food and unique products, but also about serving the community. Skorman has been deeply involved in local efforts, including founding the U.S. Environmental Film Festival and working on various trails and open space initiatives. With a commitment to their values and a rich history, Poor Richard's Downtown continues to be a vibrant and innovative presence in the heart of Colorado Springs.
