Population Education, a program of Population Connection, is the leading national education program dedicated to human population growth. With a strong emphasis on curriculum and professional development for K-12 educators, Population Education equips teachers with innovative, hands-on lesson plans and resources to teach about the impacts of population growth on the environment and human well-being. Our mission is to explore the ways in which people shape the world and interact with each other. Since its establishment in 1975, Population Education has gained a reputation for educational excellence. Through engaging activities like simulations, cooperative challenges, and debate, our program inspires students to address real-world problems and become actively engaged in their communities as future leaders and policy makers. We provide interactive workshops annually to over 12,000 educators in North America. Population Education is primarily supported by our dedicated members and supporters, with over 40,000 funders. We do not accept government or corporate funding, ensuring our independence and alignment with our mission.
