## Description

Portalupi Wine is a family-owned California winery founded in 2002 by Jane Portalupi and Tim Borges. Based in Healdsburg, the brand brings together California winemaking and Italian heritage through its “Cal-Ital” approach, celebrating Italian traditions, wine, food, and shared experiences. Its portfolio includes California wines featuring grape varieties with roots in Italy, as well as varieties brought to prominence in Sonoma by Italian immigrants. The winery offers its wines for purchase online and welcomes visitors to its tasting room in downtown Healdsburg for tastings and events. Customers can also join the Portalupi wine club, called Famiglia, and shop for gifts and merchandise. The winery was built around the founders’ shared vision: Tim contributed more than 40 years of winemaking experience in Napa and Sonoma, while Jane brought a background in fashion retail marketing. In 2026, they passed the business to Ryan and Katie Kunde, who aim to continue the Portalupi way of life. The brand presents wine as part of a warm, Italian-inspired culture of connection and hospitality.
