The Contingent is a venture nonprofit organization that empowers leaders and mobilizes communities to tackle the biggest injustices and vulnerabilities in our country. Their mission is to bring sweeping transformation by developing new approaches and linking arms to address societal challenges together. They inspire and train neighbors to help one another and stand in the gap to create new leaders in a divided society.

The Contingent serves children and families impacted by foster care and empowers diverse talent through their initiatives such as Every Child, Survival is Not Enough (SINE), Emerging Leaders, and Ready to Rise. They also provide scholarships through Act Six and Ignite programs. With a dedicated team of amazing leaders, The Contingent invests heavily in marketing, technology, and research/evaluation to drive meaningful change.
