## Description

Portugal DC, the Portuguese Data Center Association, is an independent nonprofit organization founded in 2023. It represents companies across Portugal’s data center ecosystem and welcomes organizations operating in the sector as members. The association works to strengthen the industry’s development and positive impact in Portugal and internationally.

Its priorities include advocating for the sector and contributing to policies that support sustainable growth; fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices; and raising awareness of the role and benefits of data centers among public and private stakeholders. Portugal DC also supports education, professional training, and technician certification, while building relationships with international peer organizations and participating in global industry discussions.

Sustainability and technology are central to its work. The association promotes environmentally responsible operations, adoption of relevant European Union directives, and efforts to reduce the industry’s carbon footprint. It also encourages technological innovation to help position Portugal as a center for advanced data center solutions.
