## Description

**Poseidon Project**

The Poseidon Project is an innovative initiative that harnesses cutting-edge photonics technology to address public health challenges through rapid detection of Legionella, a harmful bacteria found in water systems. Spearheaded by a consortium of partners across Europe, this project focuses on developing a plasmonic-based automated lab-on-chip sensor capable of in-situ monitoring, offering a groundbreaking solution for improving water safety.

With a total project investment of EUR 4.068 million, fully funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program, the Poseidon Project aims to facilitate timely responses to health threats posed by Legionella. Through its advanced sensor technology, the project significantly enhances monitoring capabilities in various applications, making it a vital resource for industries that rely on water quality management.

By fostering collaboration among European states, the Poseidon Project not only aims to revolutionize detection methods but also strives to promote a safer environment for all. Connect with us to learn more about our pioneering solutions and contributions to public health.
