## Description

The Post-Keynesian Economics Society (PKES) is a prominent organization dedicated to promoting research and scholarly collaboration in the field of post-Keynesian economics. Founded in 1988 by notable economists Philip Arestis and Victoria Chick, PKES initially operated as the Post Keynesian Study Group (PKSG) and later transitioned to a formal membership association in 2008, rebranding to its current name in 2017.

PKES offers a variety of services and activities to its members, including an Annual Workshop, thematic conferences, panels at learned society gatherings, and a PhD conference. The society also maintains an active mailing list and a Working Paper series, providing members with opportunities to submit papers and engage in discussions. Membership benefits include online access to prestigious journals such as the European Journal of Economics and Economic Policy and the Review of Keynesian Economics. While PKES is UK-based, its membership is global, fostering an extensive international network that facilitates the dissemination of post-Keynesian thought and research.
