## Description

Potter House Recovery is a SCARR-certified, nonprofit 501(c)(3) peer-driven recovery community in Florence, South Carolina, serving men and women affected by substance use disorder. Its mission is to restore hope, dignity, and purpose through compassionate, trauma-informed, evidence-based programs, structured housing, and holistic support. The organization combines the Twelve Steps with individual and group sessions, workshops, and support from the local recovery community to shape a personalized path to recovery.

Its programs include a 28-day intensive recovery experience, with residents spending full days learning and practicing recovery principles; a 90-day vocational recovery program, which balances workshops and Twelve Step meetings with full-time employment; and transitional recovery housing for up to 12 months for people who have completed the 90-day program. This final stage supports residents as they move toward independent life. Potter House aims to help people build lasting sobriety, resilience, and self-sufficiency, and to reintegrate as healthy, productive members of their community. It also offers intake screening, community resources, and opportunities to support its work through donations and sponsorships.
