## Description

Powder Project is a community-driven platform for backcountry skiing, offering trail maps and route information to help skiers discover and navigate ski lines. Part of the Adventure Projects network, it serves outdoor enthusiasts across the United States and internationally, with a directory listing 1,585 trails and 2,770 miles of ski lines. Visitors can explore routes by location, difficulty, distance, elevation, and route type, and view details such as descent and trail characteristics. The site features recommended ski lines, top-rated routes, photos, and map-based exploration, including 3D views for selected routes. Skiers can contribute by sharing ascents, trails, photos, and other experiences, helping build a resource shaped by the community. Powder Project also offers a free mobile app designed to work offline, so users can access maps when they lose cell service. Accounts are free and work across Adventure Projects sites. Powder Project is presented within the onX family of adventure products, which aims to help people find destinations, understand their location, and share outdoor experiences.
